A man from D’Iberville, Mississippi, has been sentenced to life in prison plus an additional fifty years for coercing minors into sexual activity and producing child sexual abuse material. After serving his sentence, he will also be subject to lifetime supervised release.

In December 2024, several minor children reported to law enforcement that Sean Parol, age 53, had sexually abused them. Law enforcement executed a search warrant at Parol’s residence that same month. Officers from the D’Iberville Police Department discovered various electronic devices and hidden cameras throughout the house. The investigation determined that some of the sexual abuse was recorded using these hidden cameras.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and a forensic examiner with the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office Cybercrime Division conducted a forensic analysis on the devices found in Parol’s home. They uncovered videos showing Parol performing oral sex on multiple minor boys and having those boys perform oral sex on him. On one device alone, authorities found more than 30,000 images and videos of child sexual abuse material.

Investigators also learned that Parol provided vapes and other items to the children and showed them adult pornography as part of his efforts to continue the abuse.

Acting U.S. Attorney Patrick A. Lemon of the Southern District of Mississippi stated: “This sentence reflects our commitment to protecting children from predators who exploit their vulnerability.” Special Agent in Charge Robert Eikhoff of the FBI added: “The FBI remains dedicated to investigating crimes against children and bringing offenders to justice.”

The case was investigated by the FBI, Mississippi Attorney General’s Office Cybercrime Division, and the D’Iberville Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lee Smith prosecuted the case.

This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse by coordinating federal, state, and local resources.
