Disney and ESPN announced on May 12 that the Egg Bowl between Mississippi State and Ole Miss will take place in Oxford, Mississippi, on Friday, Nov. 27. The game is scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. and will be broadcast nationally on ABC.
The Egg Bowl is one of college football’s oldest rivalries, marking its 123rd meeting this year. This matchup will be the second consecutive time, and seventh overall, that the two teams have played each other on a Friday. It also marks the second straight season that the Egg Bowl has been held at 11 a.m. on Black Friday.
The announcement was made during Disney Advertising’s annual Upfront presentation at New York’s Javits Center, where multiple kickoff times for the upcoming season were revealed.
Further details regarding additional game times and television networks for other matchups are expected to be released later.
