The Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce is now accepting proposals for the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program.
The program aims to enhance the competitiveness of Mississippi’s specialty crop industry by supporting marketing, research, development, and access initiatives. Specialty crops include fruits, vegetables, tree nuts, dried fruits, horticulture, and nursery crops such as floriculture. Eligible applicants are producer groups and associations, non-profits, colleges, and universities. Funding will not be awarded for projects that solely benefit a particular commercial product or provide profit to a single organization or individual. Applications must be submitted by April 1, 2026.
