NFIB State Director Dawn McVea announced that 86 members of the Mississippi House achieved a perfect NFIB small business voting record during the 2023 legislative session.

“These leaders are a big reason why Mississippi remains a small business-friendly state,” McVea stated. “They understand the challenges our members face and showed us they’ll do what it takes to level the playing field and allow for Main Street businesses to succeed.”

McVea noted that the 2023 NFIB Voting Record does not encompass every factor lawmakers consider when voting, nor does it provide a complete profile of the legislators.

The voting record includes eight key votes on issues crucial to small businesses, such as tax relief, workforce development, and workers’ compensation. It does not account for support these legislators may have provided in committees.

For more details on the results for all legislators and an explanation of the issues, further information is available online.
