The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department announced on Facebook the arrest of Concepcion Lopez Barahona, 52, from Aberdeen, Mississippi, on an indecent exposure charge involving a minor. Authorities said that immigration officials have been notified.
According to WCBI, Monroe County deputies arrested Barahona on August 21, 2025, following a report from a father whose daughter awoke to find Barahona exposing himself in her bedroom. Investigators confirmed that Barahona had legal access to the residence for construction work. The sheriff’s office indicated that his immediate arrest followed interviews and evidence review, leading to his transportation to the Monroe County Detention Center for processing.
Reporting from Alcorn News reveals that Barahona was formally charged with indecent exposure, classified as a misdemeanor under Mississippi law but carrying significant penalties when minors are involved. He was booked into the Monroe County Detention Center with an immigration detainer in place, preventing release on bond. Deputies coordinated with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which confirmed his unlawful status in the United States and initiated deportation proceedings.
