Nighttime paving operations are set to commence on a section of State Route 15 in Union County, Mississippi. The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) announced that the northbound lanes from the Pontotoc County line to Central Ave. in New Albany will undergo paving work. This project is scheduled to take place nightly between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., starting Monday, October 20, and continuing until Monday, November 3.

The affected lanes are already closed to through traffic, allowing only local vehicles. However, increased activity is expected during the nighttime hours due to the paving operations. MDOT advises drivers to exercise caution by slowing down and staying alert for posted signage and roadside workers.

For updates on the progress of this project, MDOT encourages the public to visit their website at MDOTtraffic.com, download the MDOT Traffic mobile app, or follow them on social media platforms such as Facebook and X under @MississippiDOT.
