U.S. Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi has expressed his support for President Donald Trump’s nominations of Mississippi Supreme Court Justices Robert Chamberlin and James Maxwell to serve on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi.
In a statement released from Tupelo, Wicker said, “I want to thank President Donald Trump for his nomination of two solid and experienced jurists for the U.S. District Court. I wholeheartedly support Justice Chamberlin and Justice Maxwell and look forward to their speedy confirmation.”
The nominations are part of ongoing efforts to fill federal judicial vacancies in Mississippi.
