When it comes to finding a safe place to take a snooze at night, the green anole is known to hide in plain sight by lying streamline along a slender hanging twig or leaf, sometimes even upside down!
Any potential predator approaching the tree will likely cause the branch to vibrate, giving the lizard a chance to escape by jumping into the darkness below.
