Census Bureau reports Mississippi population was 2,981,835 in 2020

Mississippi had a population of 2,981,835 people in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Magnolia State News.

The median age was 38, with 51.6 percent of the total population being female and 48.4 percent male.
