In Alcorn County, a base repair, overlay, and signal coordination on the five-lane section of Hwy 72 and overlay of SR 785 (South Cass Street) are underway.
Much of the work is scheduled to be performed at night due to the high volume of daily traffic. Cass Street has been milled and paved. Dig-outs on U.S. Highway 72 are complete and milling and paving has just begun. Cable is being pulled for radar detection sensors throughout the project.
The project is scheduled to be completed early 2023.
