National Principals Month on Oct 25

National Principals Month

Date:

Oct. 1, 2022 - Oct. 31, 2022

Description:

Every year in October, the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA), the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) join forces to celebrate our nation's school principals for their tireless dedication to their students and school communities. National Principals Month is a time of year we can unite in advocating for building-level administrators whose leadership is essential for achieving individual scholar success, which leads to overall community well-being. Principals work hard to provide the best education and leadership possible, and it's important to recognize the significant impact of the profession.

Jackson Public Schools proudly participates in what has become for us an annual tradition. Our principals set the academic and cultural tone for their schools in working with their teachers and staff to develop scholars into positive, contributing members of society. We honor them for their vision, dedication, and determination in producing the transformative excellence we envision for JPS scholars.

Help us celebrate and advocate for principals during National Principals Month. Show your principal how much you appreciate them for all they do! Whether you are a parent, a student, a teacher, or a caring community member, there's something you can do to get in on the celebration. Let your voice be heard this month to honor, thank, and advocate for all principals. Be sure to add #ThankAPrincipal with whatever you post on social media. In doing so, you raise awareness about the vital role of school principals.
