Foundation Giving Trending Upward
In her first full year as the Executive Director of the Foundation, East Central Community College’s Dr. Stacey Hollingsworth has helped usher in new excitement and giving to the College with donations up nearly 15 percent over the previous calendar year, totaling over $1 million in donations in 2022.
“We are thrilled to see the continued support of the Foundation from donors in our local communities and from alumni and friends from across the state and country,” said Hollingsworth.
“The Foundation looks forward to carrying this momentum into the 2023 calendar year as we continue to work diligently to provide East Central students the best opportunities for education and experience while on campus.”
The East Central Community College Foundation, Inc. serves as the official body to receive gifts, donations, or contributions to the College and supports and enhances the College's mission of providing educational opportunities for lifelong learning.
These gifts are applied in a variety of ways, ranging from scholarship creation and endowments to nearly $200,000 being utilized in 2022 toward renovations of the College’s chemistry laboratories.
“East Central Community College has always had unrivaled support from our communities, alumni, and friends, and the giving we received in 2022 is proof that our institution remains a very important part of many people’s lives,” said East Central President Dr. Brent Gregory.
“We are entering an exciting time at the College with many new projects underway and more in the planning phases.
Financial support from donors, at all levels, is vital to the success of these projects, and we are excited to see them come to fruition."
East Central Community College and the Foundation are committed to being a valuable resource for students and the local communities and look to build on a successful 2022.
