JACKSON, Miss. – Governor Tate Reeves released the following statement on the 51st anniversary of Title IX:
"I was proud to sign legislation that says boys will plays boys’ sports in Mississippi. On the 51st anniversary of Title IX, women’s sports have never been more in danger. It’s under assault from radical activists pushing warped views on gender. They don’t care who is in their way and they won’t stop until the line between boys and girls disappears.
"Here in Mississippi, we will always protect our kids and defend fairness in sports. We will never cave to the demands of these radical activists who want to harm our children. As the dad of three girls, I won’t back down. And as long as I’m governor, Mississippi will never back down."
