Temporary road closures are scheduled in Philadelphia, Mississippi, beginning October 28, 2025. The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) announced that these closures will facilitate construction on the SR 15/16 Roundabout. The work is expected to continue until June 30, 2026.

The affected areas include State Route 16 at Canal Place and W. Beacon St., stretching from SR 885 to SR 16 in Neshoba County. This also covers the connection to SR 375 from SR 16/W. Beacon St.

Detour signage will be installed throughout the project duration to guide drivers around the closed sections. Temporary traffic signals will be placed at both ends of SR 885 to assist with traffic flow. MDOT advises drivers to reduce speed, heed posted signs, and remain vigilant for road workers.
