Mississippi State Department of Health - New Bivalent COVID-19 Booster Can Now Be Made for Children Ages 5 and Older

Appointments for the new bivalent COVID-19 booster can now be made for children ages 5 and older, available at all Mississippi State Department of Health county health department clinics. This updated COVID-19 booster offers improved protection against both the original strain of COVID-19 and the Omicron variants that are currently causing most infections (BA.4 and BA.5). Boosters are recommended if it's been two months or more since your last COVID-19 vaccination series or booster -- especially for those 65 or older, and those who are in poor health or have weakened immune systems. Appointments may be made online at covidvaccine.msdh.ms.gov
