EDA awards over $4 million in grants for economic development projects in Mississippi in 2023

In 2023, the Economic Development Administration (EDA) issued seven grants totaling $4,029,618 to fund economic development projects in Mississippi.

This represents an 89.9% decrease from 2022, when the state received $40,000,770 in funding.

Mississippi ranked 35th across the U.S. in total EDA grant funding for 2023. South Carolina topped the list with $30,038,466 in funding across 14 grants.

East Mississippi Community College received the largest EDA grant for funding an economic development project in the state, totalling $3,000,000.
