Congratulations to the City of Jackson! The entire battery of drinking water testing on the City of Jackson’s water system supplied by the O.B. Curtis and J.H. Fewell water treatment plants has been completed and laboratory analysis found water from these two plants to be within federal drinking water standards. In addition, lead and copper sampling showed the system’s water below EPA action levels for latest six-month testing period. While these are great results, until the city completes corrosion control efforts, MSDH still recommends precautions for pregnant women and small children.
