(Jackson, Mississippi)Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced that Victoria Rice, Task Force Commander for Mississippi's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, a part of Fitch's Cyber Crime Division, graduated last week from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia."

Ongoing leadership training and professional development is a key priority for my team. Being accepted into the National Academy is a huge honor in and of itself, and we are incredibly proud of Victoria for completing and excelling in this prestigious program,” said Attorney General Lynn Fitch. “As a part of the AGO’s investigative team, Victoria has played a key role in protecting children from online predators. Her dedication and service is making Mississippi a safer place for everyone." 

The Attorney General's Office is the host agency for the state's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. As ICAC Task Force Commander, Rice works with more than 80 law enforcement agencies from across the state to address threats to Mississippi's children. Prior to coming to the Attorney General's Office, Rice served as Deputy Sheriff for the Copiah County Sheriff's Office. 

Rice is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi. She is also a graduate of Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers’ Training Academy(MLEOTA) Basic Law Enforcement Training Class; the Certified Investigator Program of MLEOTA, where she was elected class leader; and International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE). Rice is one of 238 law enforcement officers who completed this FBI National Academy program, and one of only 29 females. This class included members of law enforcement agencies from 25 countries, five military organizations, and six federal civilian organizations. Over a 10-week period, participants of the

National Academy are offered classes in advanced communication, leadership and fitness training. Participants must have proven records as professionals  within their agencies to attend.
