MDOT is participating in the national recognition of Engineer's Week 2025, which runs from February 16 to 22. The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) employs over 230 engineers who contribute to various fields such as construction, maintenance, bridge work, materials, and hydraulics. These professionals are essential in maintaining and improving the state's transportation infrastructure.

Brad White, MDOT Executive Director, expressed his appreciation for the department's engineers: "I am very proud of the experienced and dedicated engineers working at MDOT. Without these men and women, and their unique skill sets, our department and statewide transportation network would not be what it is today. Whatever challenges arise, our talented team of engineers is able to keep Mississippi’s roads and bridges safe, secure and available to drivers."

Engineer’s Week aims to highlight the importance of technical education and proficiency in math, science, and technology. It encourages students to pursue careers in engineering and technology. The public can engage with this initiative on social media using #EWeek2025.

Throughout Engineer’s Week, MDOT will feature an engineer daily on its social media platforms including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn. For more information about Engineers Week 2025 or MDOT's engineering opportunities, visit GoMDOT.com.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation is tasked with providing a safe transportation network that is efficient and environmentally conscious. More details can be found at GoMDOT.com.
