6 basketball players from Mississippi to play in NCAA women’s tournament

Mississippi is being represented by six players in the NCAA women’s basketball tournament.

California will have the most players on the hard court during this year's tournament with 161 players, followed by Texas with 152.

Gulfport, Clinton, Ridgeland, Columbus, Bogue Chitto and Tylertown are the hometowns for the players from Mississippi.
