The Mississippi State Fairgrounds will host the 60th annual Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson has announced the schedule for the event.
A highlight of the day is the inaugural Dixie National High School Rodeo at 2:00 p.m. in the Coliseum. "Mississippi high school rodeo contestants will earn points toward the rodeo nationals during the Dixie National High School Rodeo," said Gipson. Tickets for this event are priced at $20.
The Mississippi Ag & Outdoor Expo will also continue on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. inside the Trade Mart. The expo showcases outdoor equipment and gear, including hunting and fishing supplies, UTVs, ATVs, tractors, farm equipment, and more. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children aged 12 and under; children under five enter free.
The final Dixie National Open Livestock Shows begin at 9:00 a.m. in Barn 14 with events such as the Simmental, Percentage Simmental, and Simbrah Show. Additionally, the last day of the Dixie National Quarter Horse Show takes place in the Equine Center with various equine events scheduled throughout.
